Technical assistance
PROJECT:
Provisión of technical assistance in La Rioja for the development of the European cooperation project Atlantic on Bike, making Eurovelo 1 a sustainable tourism destination; this is based on green growth and the enhancement of natural, landscape, cultural and heritage resources of the route. Additionally, Eurovelo 1 is a cycling route that connects Norway to Portugal, through 11,150 km, which also crosses Ireland, England, France and Spain.
CLIENT:
La Rioja 360º Avanza, Public Promotion company in La Rioja.
TARGET:
To allow and promote development work in La Rioja, collaborating collectively with 5 other national partners and 12 international partners in 6 different countries.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
It was possible to structure a cycle tourism route that crosses the region, from Navarre through Logroño to Grañón and accessing the Monasteries of San Millán de la Cogolla, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and which is part of the Eurovelo 1 route, promoted by the European Cycle Federation (ECF).
